Position Summary Gravitas is seeking a part-time organic chemistry teacher to further develop and then implement its science program. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the country's most prestigious Christian academic institutions as a member of a talented faculty. All candidates should have demonstrable Christian commitment and an educational philosophy that is consistent with The Stony Brook School's mission statement. • Department : Gravitas, A Global Extension of the Stony Brook School • Job Status: Part-Time • Salary Range : $6,000 ; potential for additional courses based on enrollment • Start Date: August 12, 2024 • Location : Remote Primary Responsibilities • Develop the yearlong curriculum for the Introduction to Organic Chemistry course. • Virtually teach the Introduction to Organic Chemistry class, serving both Gravitas and campus SBS students. • Create and deliver asynchronous lessons and assessments • Provide synchronous and asynchronous tutoring support. • Grade assessments promptly and communicate effectively with students, families, and Gravitas administrators.
