<p>Parsons is seeking an Urban/Landscape Planning Lead in Dubai to oversee sustainable landscape and urban planning for a major development program. The role involves strategic leadership, collaboration with clients and government bodies, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field, 15 years of experience in urban/landscape planning, and strong skills in GIS, stakeholder engagement, and project management.<br>Job Description:<br><br>Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Urban/Landscape Planning Lead to join our team!<br><br>In this role, you will oversee the landscape and urban planning aspects of a major development program in Dubai, focusing on the integration of sustainable and climate-adaptive landscape solutions that are aligned with Dubai Municipality’s Urban and Landscape Master Plans. Working closely with the client and project teams, you will ensure that urban/landscape solutions not only meet aesthetic and environmental objectives but also enhance the functionality of stormwater drainage systems and urban spaces. You will provide strategic leadership in urban/landscape planning, guiding design, implementation, and stakeholder engagement activities.<br><br>What You'll Be Doing:<br>• Lead the planning and execution of urban and landscape initiatives to align with the city Urban and Landscape Master Plans.<br>• Develop and implement landscape strategies that is aligned the stormwater drainage plan.<br>• Collaborate with the client and relevant government bodies to ensure integrated planning and alignment with regulatory and community needs.<br>• Guide the design and implementation of landscape features that complement stormwater infrastructure, such as green belts, permeable surfaces, and sustainable drainage systems.<br>• Oversee the selection of materials, vegetation, and landscape elements to enhance urban biodiversity and support the program’s environmental goals.<br>• Ensure design standards comply with local climate conditions, cultural values, and urban design objectives.<br>• Engage with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, and construction, to integrate urban and landscape plans seamlessly into the overall stormwater infrastructure.<br>• Conduct regular consultations with community stakeholders and public entities to incorporate their input into the planning process, ensuring plans are inclusive and community-oriented.<br>• Represent the landscape planning aspect in public communications, working with the public relations team to foster community awareness and support.<br>• Lead the integration of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) and other environmentally sensitive planning practices into the landscape design.<br>• Develop strategies for urban greenery that mitigate flood within the catchment areas.<br><br>What Required Skills You'll Bring:<br>• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning, or a related field.<br>• Minimum of 15 years in urban or landscape planning, with at least 5 years acting as Client Representative/PMC role on large-scale planning or landscape projects<br>• Proficiency in GIS and BIM, and landscape planning tools<br>• Familiarity with Dubai’s environmental regulations and urban planning guidelines in particular Dubai Urban Plan 2040.<br>• Expertise in sustainable landscape practices, stormwater management, and urban design; understanding of climate-adaptive landscape solution<br>• Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and public relations<br>• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage complex projects, and influence at various organizational levels<br><br>Minimum Clearance Required to Start:<br>Not Applicable/None<br><br>Parsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
