Schedule Information: <ul><li>Per Diem employees must commit to work at least twelve hours per week or 48 hours per month on the phone</li><li>Shifts worked must be as needed and available to help on evenings, weekends, and night shifts when posted</li><li>Must maintain licensure, competencies, LMS requirements and training as needed</li><li>Performance must be maintained with call monitoring scores, phone stats, and other measures</li><li>Days off will vary week-to-week</li><li>Must be available to work overnight shifts on occasion (1-2 weekdays per month, and 2-4 weekends per year)</li><li>Evening and overnight shifts include a shift differential</li><li></li></ul>Position Overview:This busy 24/7 clinical call center receives and responds to a wide variety of incoming calls from patients, clinicians, referral sources, hospitals, etc. in support of chronic therapies, including Home Infusion Therapy. This team also takes after-hour calls for all divisions of Accredo Health Group Specialty Pharmacies.What You’ll Be Doing:<ul><li>Triage incoming calls from patients, clinicians, hospitals, etc. Intervene to address life-threatening medication interruptions.</li><li>Guide patients, caregivers, clinicians through assessment of potential disruption of medication administration including pump malfunction, central line problems, and patient error.</li><li>Troubleshoot issues with infusion devices, answer infusion access questions, and provide other therapy support. </li><li>Coordinate communication between patient, caregivers, pharmacists, nurses, hospital staff, and physicians.</li><li>Ensure product and supplies are provided in a timely manner.</li><li>Contact appropriate personnel as needed, and document transactions in patients’ e-chart.</li><li>Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all services, products, and resources provided by Accredo and continually incorporate new product and service knowledge.</li><li>Assume an active, professional role in identifying trends/needs as they develop within the scope of customer/client contact.</li></ul>Education, Licensure<ul><li>Possess an Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma</li><li>Registered Nurse (RN) multistate license in good standing, with ability to obtain licensure in all 50 states</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of RN experience preferred.
