The Client

The client is a one of the leading Investment Management companies in the UAE and having investments in various industries including Retail, Hospitality, Real Estate, Pharmaceuticals, and Information Technology.

The Role

Our client is currently looking for a qualified candidate who will be based in Dubai and reporting to the Head of Legal; and will be having the following key responsibilities:

  • Provide full legal support and advice to the management and the group (over 10 subsidiaries) under the guidance of the Head of Legal.
  • Develop standardized legal terms, conditions, templates, and policies across the company.
  • Implement and manage an effective Contracts Management System to manage and track all company contracts and review the terms and conditions of all existing and new contracts to ensure meeting company’s standard terms and conditions and protection of the company’s interests.
  • Conduct strategic legal projects (e.g. legal due diligence, legal restructuring, M&A, etc.).
  • Draft new contracts for clients in English and Arabic languages.
  • Attend Board meetings and provide legal advice whenever applicable and ensure the implementation of decisions made in such meetings.
  • Coordinate with externally contracted Legal Advisers/Attorneys for all legal matters, if any.
  • Develop legal related reports as request by the management.
  • Supervise and coach junior team members in delivering assigned responsibilities and tasks.

The Candidate

The client is looking for candidates who meet the following specifications:

  • holding a Bachelor degree in Law (LLB) or closely related field
  • holding a Master’s degree in Law (LLM) or closely related field
  • holding a valid membership in the applicable Bar Association.
  • proficiency in English and Arabic languages is a must.
  • having 7+ years (post required training period) of relevant legal affairs experience in corporate and commercial legal areas.
  • having strong background and understanding of legal practices and principles.
  • having strong working experience with MS Office applications.
