About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Engineer with a strong background in utility-scale solar projects to lead our planning, control, and grid integration activities. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in power systems analysis, renewable energy integration, and project management, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-performing solar power delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Grid Integration & Design

  • Design and optimize T&D systems for utility-scale solar projects.
  • Conduct feasibility studies for grid interconnection, prepare single-line diagrams, protection schemes, and equipment specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, NEC, and local utility standards.

Power Systems Analysis

  • Perform load flow, short circuit, and stability analysis using ETAP, PSS/E, or PSCAD.
  • Conduct grid impact studies on voltage, power quality, and reliability.

Renewable Energy Integration

  • Implement solutions for solar grid integration, addressing energy storage systems (ESS) and stability challenges.
  • Collaborate with developers, utilities, and EPC teams for seamless delivery.

Project Management

  • Lead engineering deliverables, budgets, and schedules using Primavera P6, MS Project, or SAP.
  • Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning.

Leadership & Reporting

  • Mentor junior engineers and promote innovative technologies such as smart grids and microgrids.
  • Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and interconnection applications.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering. Master’s degree or PMP/PRINCE2 certification is an advantage.
  • Experience: 7–10 years in planning, control, or T&D engineering for solar projects.
  • Skills: Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP; strong analytical, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Preferred: ESS experience, hybrid solar project knowledge, PMI-SP certification.
