We are seeking a <strong>Senior Infrastructure Engineer</strong> to design, deploy, and secure cloud-native and Kubernetes-based platforms for government clients. This role includes supporting Spectro Cloud Kubernetes installations in classified and air-gapped environments. You will be instrumental in building and automating Linux and hybrid cloud infrastructure to enable secure and scalable mission outcomes.<br><br>This position can be based in Melbourne, FL; Huntsville, AL; Denver, CO; or Salt Lake City, UT<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Architect and deploy secure, scalable Linux and Kubernetes infrastructures for government environments. </li><li>Guide client teams on cloud adoption, infrastructure modernization, and DevSecOps best practices. </li><li>Implement automation using Ansible, Terraform, and CI/CD tools to streamline infrastructure operations. </li><li>Ensure compliance with cybersecurity frameworks such as STIG, RMF, and related DoD requirements. </li><li>Troubleshoot and optimize performance across complex, distributed systems. </li><li>Mentor client teams on Kubernetes operations, infrastructure automation, and secure cloud practices. <br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Skills<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strong experience in Linux infrastructure and cloud-native environments </li><li>Hands-on Kubernetes administration (2+ years) </li><li>CI/CD pipeline development and management (3+ years) using GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc. </li><li>Automation expertise with Ansible, Terraform, Python, and Bash </li><li>Experience securing and troubleshooting distributed systems </li><li>Knowledge of DoD security frameworks (STIG, RMF) </li><li>Strong communication and mentoring abilities </li><li>DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or equivalent) <br><br></li></ul><strong>Required Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>U.S. Citizenship </li><li>8+ years of infrastructure engineering experience </li><li>2+ years of Kubernetes administration </li><li>3+ years of CI/CD pipeline work </li><li>Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% <br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Experience with Spectro Cloud Kubernetes </li><li>VMware and Windows infrastructure in hybrid environments </li><li>Familiarity with RMF and ATO processes </li><li>Certifications such as CKA, CKAD, RHCE, AWS, Azure </li><li>GitOps tools (ArgoCD, Flux) </li><li>Exposure to edge computing and air-gapped deployments <br><br></li></ul>CALIBRE and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer and supports transitioning service members, veterans and individuals with disabilities.
