Responsibilities

  • Schedule patients in the EHR system according to provider availability
  • Collect and verify patient insurance information for the 5 accepted insurance plans
  • Assist patients with uploading insurance cards and documents to the patient portal
  • Provide basic information about services, insurance coverage, and self-pay options
  • Handle autism screening appointment requests (cash-only, scheduled months in advance)
  • Direct emergency calls involving suicidal ideation immediately to emergency room care
  • Leave messages for the provider when clinical questions arise that require follow-up
  • Provide excellent customer service with a polite, friendly, and welcoming approach
