Remote Accounts Receivable Specialist (1099) – 26/hr | Weekly Pay | Bonuses

About Us

We are a fast-growing, woman-owned and family-operated construction services company. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Receivable Specialist (Independent Contractor) to support our billing and collections processes on a part-time, remote basis.

This engagement is ideal for a self-directed professional who excels in organization, accuracy, and communication.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Starting at $26/hr
  • Paid weekly
  • 1099 contractor position
  • Sign-on bonus after 90 days
  • Bonus pay on major national holidays

Scope of Work

The contractor will be responsible for completing deliverables that support billing, collections, and administrative operations, including:

  • Preparing and distributing invoices (within 48 hours of invoice date).
  • Managing accounts receivable, including preparing aging reports and following up on outstanding balances.
  • Applying client payments in QuickBooks (ACH/check).
  • Delivering weekly billing and A/R reports.
  • Responding to purchase order requests through client systems.
  • Communicating with clients regarding billing-related issues.
  • Providing weekly updates on past-due accounts and documenting collection actions taken.
  • Performing reconciliations as needed.
  • Assisting with administrative projects on an as-needed basis.

Deliverable Standards

  • Invoices delivered within 48 hours of scheduled invoice date.
  • Payments applied within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Receivables monitored and updates provided weekly.
  • Reports and deliverables completed accurately and on time.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online (billing, payment application, reporting).
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage work independently and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with HyphenSolutions or similar platforms.
  • Background in construction, home services, or related industries.
  • Experience with collections and handling past-due accounts.

Engagement Details

  • Independent contractor engagement, not an employee role.
  • Estimated ~20 hours per week; workload may vary depending on business needs.
  • Work may be performed on the contractor's own schedule, provided deadlines are met.
  • To support timely client and team communication, contractors based in Central or Eastern time zones are strongly encouraged to apply.
