Junior Toxicologist

Summary:

The opportunity has arisen for a Junior Toxicologist to join this global organization which respects diverse perspectives, experiences and traditions as essential, and values each employee's contribution towards achieving our business objectives. This is an entry level position.

The Challenge:

  • You will review Scientific literature in the area of focus is safety assessment and toxicology related consulting services supporting clients primarily from the home and personal care industries
  • Review information from literature searches and/or provided by project managers; required to use own initiative to make sure that selected materials are relevant and complete
  • Extract and summarize or tabulate information from scientific publications
  • Review data for completeness, relevance, etc.
  • Present accurate summaries of literature/data to project manager for review
  • Address concerns and questions of the project manager in relation to the research conducted on the project
  • Work on various aspects of a scientific report

Compiling of Regulatory Submissions for Client

  • Review with project manager and determine registration requirements
  • Work with project manager to gather required information
  • Review studies to ensure compliance
  • Compile and summarize data
  • Fill out forms (e.g., complete the necessary standard forms for substance/product registration)
  • Address comments and make revisions, as required

Must Haves:

- 0-1 years' experience

- critically evaluate scientific papers

- strong writing skills and communications skills

- ability to handle many different tasks simultaneously

- work independently

- familiarity with software packages

- ability to prioritize and manage time effectively and work on multiple projects at once

- ability to process information, follow directions

- create/edit reports with guidance

Education:

Degree in Science, B.Sc. (e.g. Toxicology or related field)
