Helper/Packer – Fruits & Vegetables

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Helper/Packer (Fruits and Vegetables Sector) to assist in the packing and handling of fresh produce. The successful candidate will be responsible for sorting, packaging, labeling, and ensuring the quality and freshness of fruits and vegetables before they are shipped to customers or stores. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sort, pack, and label fruits and vegetables according to size, type, and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper packaging techniques to maintain the freshness and quality of products.
  • Verify that products meet the required specifications and standards before being packed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing packing materials, tools, and equipment.
  • Follow safety protocols and food handling guidelines to avoid contamination or damage to produce.
  • Work closely with other packers, warehouse staff, and quality control personnel to ensure efficient packing and timely delivery.
  • Assist in unloading fresh produce from delivery trucks and help organize it for sorting and packing.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate protective gear and following hygiene standards.
  • Report any safety concerns or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in packing, warehouse work, or food handling (preferred but not required).
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including standing, lifting, and bending for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production targets.
  • Basic knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including their different types, ripeness, and quality standards.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
