Job Description
Essential Functions
- Floor & Project Technicians will maintain all types of floor areas through the process of stripping/refinishing hard surface floors and shampooing carpeted areas.
Responsibilities:
- Cleans and sanitizes after emergency spill clean up requests.
- Change Shampoo to Extracts.
- Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair, reporting all problems to the supervisor.
- Shampoo assigned carpeted areas.
- Maintain all assigned equipment, keep equipment clean and in good repair, report all problems and suggestions to the supervisor.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.
- Follow all safety and sanitation regulations, reporting problems to the shift supervisor.
- Remove all soil, wax, and sealer from assigned hard-surface floors.
- Uses chemicals and solutions as directed by Tech Manual.
Non-Carpeted Areas
- Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed.
- Sweep and spot mop tile floors.
- Complete damp mop tile floors.
- Dust/clean cleared desks and surfaces of tables.
Miscellaneous
- Must keep janitor’s closet neat and orderly.
- Equipment (such as vacuums) must be properly maintained at all times.
Knowledge and Skills
- Working experience of basic janitorial duties and responsibilities is a MUST.
- Must have good listening and verbal communication skills. Must have the ability to speak English and Spanish
- Must maintain a neat appearance. A uniform is required at some worksites.
- Must attend periodic training and safety meetings.
- Must be able to understand and anticipate the needs of the clients.
- Must be punctual.
- Must have Clear Background to work at this location.
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial facilities and building janitorial work desired.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 40 pounds of office and facilities equipment (cleaning products, tools, and ladders) and trash and the ability to safely use equipment provided.
